On September 1, 1960, the state highway commission filed an award of damages for the taking of seven acres of land and the buildings and fixtures thereon. Leroy Jonas and his wife Helen owned the seven acres and their residence located on it. Jonas & Sons, Inc., a corporation, owned two buildings located on the seven acres. Jonas Fur Farm, Inc., a corporation, owned buildings and fixtures located on the seven acres and used in the operation of a mink ranch. The record does not disclose whether either corporation had any leasehold in any part of the seven acres. The stock of each corporation was held in equal shares by Leroy Jonas and two sons.
